Mindfulness is about being aware of the present moment, without being caught up in ruminating thoughts or worrying about the past or the future. The practice of mindfulness helps us to increase our ability be in the present moment and to take a pause from our mind chattering and overwhelming us to encourage us to be calm and focused, linking your mind and body together in the present moment. Mindfulness helps us perform at our best and better navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life with more curiosity, kindness and acceptance. This course is closely structured on the approach developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and his associates at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre to assist people with stress, depression, anxiety and pain.

    • improve ability to focus
    • settle and sooth the mind
    • learn simple mindfulness techniques to develop stability in your daily life
    • maintain a friendly and kind attitude toward yourself and others
    • establish a regular meditation practice

You will receive the following:

  • pre-course assessment in person or on the phone
  • 2-2.5 hour weekly sessions (online-live OR live) and a follow up-retreat in silence
  • group dialog and discussions
  • workbook incl. journaling
  • personal guidance and peer support via a secure online or live forum
  • guided instruction in formal and informal mindfulness practise
  • free audio meditations to download (mp3)
  • assignments for home practise (20-40 minutes on 6 of 7 days)
